Outsiders Jiu Jitsu is based in Fenton Michigan. The two owners, Steve Justice and Carl Rowe have been training Jiu Jitsu for over 5 years.

Carl and Steve have trained with some of the most talented people in the sport of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Some include Saulo Ribeiro, Xande Ribeiro, Lucas Leite, Braulio Estima, Flavio Almeida, Romulo Barral.

The Outsiders are all about a fun and friendly environment for people of all types to come and enjoy the sport. Whether you are the hard core competitor, or just the average enthusiast, The Outsiders have something to offer everyone.

Our classes are set up two different ways; we have a Fundamentals class and an Advanced class. In our Fundamentals class we will cover all the  basics of  jiu-jitsu. This will include; how to take a fall, basic positioning, a few basic guard passes and sweeps, along with everyone’s favorite.. the submission. We restrict the amount of sparring in the Fundamentals to reinforce the basics. Once you have completed the minimal number of Fundamental classes we get into the Advanced class. Here,  the real fun begins. In our Advanced class, you will learn everything from combination attacks to complex guard games. Along with these, we will also introduce you to free sparring . Free sparring is where you will get to test your skill against other jiu-jitsu students.
